Shut the Front Door! (Or don’t.) – Naperville Photographer

The bebes have a thing with our pantry.

They know that’s (one of the places) where  the snacks are,  it’s where the broom lives, there are shelves to climb, and it’s a pretty good hiding spot when you close the door.  There’s a lot of bang for your buck in that little closet.

When Iheartfaces gave the word

 “Door”

as the photo-a-day challenge prompt for today, I knew the pantry was where I would have to start.

As soon as the bebes were in the kitchen this morning, they got the broom out.  Bebe H decided to run laps around the kitchen table, and was using the broom as her “jumping line”.

Her game was doomed though,  since bebe O decided he needed the broom for himself so he could swing it around and knock it in to cabinets and shins and whatnot.  (Which bebe H put a stop to Immediately…)naperville photographer, appelman images photography, lifestyle, girl, door, iheartfaces, march, broom naperville photographer, appelman images photography, lifestyle, girl, door, iheartfaces, march, broom

Then there was the hiding game in the pantry, which produced the following shots:

After lunch, I thought I’d try some photographs through the front glass door.

It was a cute idea except that it was a freezing 24 degrees so the glass door was fogged up and then bebe O realized he could close the big door on me (which effectively eliminated any chance of me getting more of the photos I was going for).

I tried ringing the doorbell to get bebe to open the door for a picture – that’s when Gussie got interested.

Then Gus got his own little shoot through the back sliding door as he played with his new Ropey.

(He destroys them within a day or two, so we’ve had many, many versions of Ropey.  He’s equally joyful each time he gets a new one.)

That’s all for now!
