Fun Kid Pictures at Home – Naperville and Chicago Portraits

My purple and red are perfectly coordinated.

Some days the light cooperates. Some days the colors coordinate. Some days the littles participate.

But usually these are not on the same days.

However, in a fit of serendipity, today I experienced a trifecta of these very things and was able to capture a couple of shots of my oldest, getting ready for the new year.

Now, New Year’s partying for the three-year-old set is about as crazy as it is for the over-35-year-old set.  Going to the mall, riding the carousel. Wearing party hats for a minute.  In bed by 9pm.  (Oh maybe we’ll push it and stay up till 9:30.  It is a celebration after all, right?)

So, with these serendipitous photos, I’m happy (/feeling trepidation – Eeeek!) to announce that I’ll be creating a 52 Project for 2014.

This is my first post for this project, and it will feature people/places/things that are close to me.  It’s basically a committment for 2014 to produce 1 photo every single week, and share it here, on my blog.

So cheers to all of you, my favorite folks reading this post.

Walk with me as I take on this new challenge (among others!) in 2014.

From my family to yours, onward to great things, new experiences, conquering challenges and becoming even more rad than the year before!
