Lifestyle Photography: Holding Court {Naperville Child Portraits}

Our neighborhood is pretty awesome.  It’s the kind that you drive through in the fall and see all the houses decorated for Halloween or with Harvest-y type stuff.  There’s lots of trees, so that adds to the color.  There’s always kids out playing.  In fact there’s a gaggle of boys that hang out just across the street from us, and they range from probably 3 to 16 at this point.  The kids (and grown-ups) are always helpful, having caught our naughty doggie Gus after he zipped out the front door for the millionth time.  People wave when you walk down the street.  It’s not fancy – but it sure is friendly.

One of the places you’ll find kids most days in the summer is at our neighbor M’s house.  Before Bebe H knew M’s name, she just called her “The Girl”.

There’s always a shiny dish of fresh water for the doggies, and bottled water for the 2-legged folks, too.  And there’s always chairs.  Lined up on the front walk, ready for a seat and some conversation.

Today “The Girl” wasn’t home, but her chairs were out, of course.   Perfect for a rest during a royal walk.
